If serving as an appetizer, you can estimate about 3-4 pieces of prosciutto-wrapped asparagus per person, depending on the size of the bunch and the appetite of your guests.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch of asparagus (about 1 pound), rinsed and tough ends snapped
- 5-6 slices of prosciutto
- Olive oil spray
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Take one slice of prosciutto and cut it into 5-6 thin strips.
- Take a piece of asparagus and wrap each strip of prosciutto around it, starting from the bottom and working your way up to the tip. Repeat with the remaining asparagus.
- Place the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Lightly spray the tops of the asparagus with olive oil spray and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the prosciutto is crispy.
- Optional: Once done, drizzle the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus with balsamic glaze before serving.
